VOTE FOR YALSA’S TEENS’ TOP TEN

The Teens’ Top Ten is a reading list chosen entirely by and for teens.

The twenty-five official nominations were chosen by sixteen teen book groups from across the U.S. that participate in YALSA’s YA Galley project, in which publishers provide book groups with galleys and the teens provide feedback. Last year, more than 8,000 teens voted for the Teens’ Top Ten, choosing Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins as their favorite title. through Sept. 15 for the Teens’ Top Ten!  VOTE NOW!!!  We’ll announce the winners during Teen Read Week, Oct. 16-22.

SAT Preparation Training

Do you need to prepare for the SAT exam that will be given on Saturday, June 4? If you are planning on taking this exam, here is a great training program offered through REOC at SUNY Brockport. Classes begin Monday, April 13. Click here for more information- SAT Prep

Henrietta Public Library will also be offering a SAT Prep class on Tuesday, May 3 to help you prepare for the SAT exam.

SAT Test Secrets 101- 7:00-8:00pm This seminar can be used as a stand-alone event or as a follow-up to the SAT or PSAT practice test.  The event will cover the format and content of the test, walk through various question types (directly from the practice test) using key Kaplan strategies, and give students and parents a basic study plan for success. This class is for teens preparing to take the SAT exam. Registration begins April 1.
